The best sci-fi audiobooks series have to make you laugh.  I’ve found myself revisiting some of my favorite funny sci-fi audiobooks to fill my time and take my mind off the craziness.  These five audiobook series are perfect for quarantine because they not only make you laugh but they will keep you listening for months.  

Comedy is all about timing and the narrators in these sci-fi audiobooks series are absolutely fantastic at bring the characters to life in so many ways.

Unfortunately he wakes up in 2133 a replicant and a slave. He is selected to be the A.I. for a Von Neumann probe. The series follows him and his replicant legion of Bobs.

  • This is one of my favorite series of all time. I’m so glad I stumbled across it at the beginning. I recommend Expeditionary Force to everyone. The story follows Joe Bishop after the earth is invaded by multiple alien species and forced in to a galactic war. As the story unfolds an unlikely duo forms between Joe and the magnificent skippy.

This classic sci-fi comedy is the perfect blend of science and humor that will help you take your mind off of captivity. I highly recommend you check out the entire series.

  • I found this series by accident and it’s not for everyone, but it definitely will make you laugh out loud. The lead character and self-proclaimed leader of space team is as funny as he is frustrating. I often found myself shaking my head at his antics. The storyline is ridiculously funny and the narration is phenomenal, which makes this a perfect sci-fi audiobook series for your time in quarantine.

  • With a little touch of sarcasm, M-bot steals the stage in this YA sci-fi book by Brandon Sanderson. The story follows what’s left of the human race on a foreign planet fighting for survival. The unexpected mix of characters and story line create a perfect tale to help you escape the monotony. Check out the 2nd book in the series Star Sight, and a soon to be released 3rd in the series.
